Intensive care enables the critically ill patients to recover and return to job by integrative and comprehensive medicine. Additionally, doctors and nurses support patients through mental and physical point of view.

BARDiplomates of board of JSICM

The society had decided to organize a board qualified intensivists to make an important contribution to the health of peoples through development of intensive care medicine and improvement of the ability of intensivists.

The system started in 1989 after through discussion and unanimous understanding.

BARThe society worked against spreading of E.coli O-157 infection

E.coli O-157 infection widely spreaded in out country especially in Sakai city, near Osaka, in the June of 1996.
Members of JSICM worked together to prevent and to treat critically ill condition of intoxication through continuous hemofiltration and cessation of convulsion.The society set up web site on the internet to show how to handle the severe illness under the leadership of president of JSICM,prof K Hiramori.
Conference on E.coli O-157 infection was held under the joint-sponsorship of the ICM forum to make guidelines for treatment of this severe infection.
